BEACON HILL COMMUNITY SUPPORT

Working with our community and partners is very important to everyone at Beacon Hill. We offer lots of opportunities for linking up and shared learning.

We have lots of specialised knowledge and expertise within the Academy including the therapists within the Sensory and Communication Team.

We are very keen to share our skills to help our pupils and others within the community. We want our pupils to get involved with as much as possible within their local community. Please get in touch if there is anything that you would like to work together on.

OUTREACH

Beacon Hill is commissioned to provide Outreach services to all schools and academies in Thurrock supporting pupils with physical, severe or complex learning difficulties in the following areas:

TRAINING

As a qualified Teaching School for both the Thurrock Teaching Schools Alliance and Thurrock Primary Teaching School Alliance we can offer bespoke training to your needs either in house or in our purpose built training suite. We can provide tailored support with communication training, including Signalong, Intensive Interaction and Elklan. PE and access to sport in a mainstream setting, mobility advice, audit and training in SEN provision for Good and Outstanding schools designed by the Eastern Leadership Centre and the use of positive behaviour support

TRAINING SUITE

Our purpose built training suite can accommodate up to 25 people and is used to run our own sessions but is also available for hire.

PARTNERSHIPS

We work very closely with our partners in Health and Social Care and other agencies. We are proud to be a ``Trailblazer School`` for the Royal Opera House and work closely with the Jack Petchey Foundation.
