Beacon Hill Community Support

Working with our community and partners is very important to everyone at Beacon Hill. We offer lots of opportunities for linking up and shared learning.

We have lots of specialised knowledge and expertise within the Academy including the therapists within the Sensory and Communication Team.

We are very keen to share our skills to help our pupils and others within the community. We want our pupils to get involved with as much as possible within their local community. Please get in touch if there is anything that you would like to work together on.

    Training

As an Outstanding special school which previously held teaching school status, we have significant specialist expertise and can offer bespoke training to your needs either in house or in our purpose-built training suite. We can provide tailored support with communication training, including Signalong, Intensive Interaction, moving and handling advice, and the use of positive behaviour support.

Some of the training that we offer is linked to the schools commissioned outreach service, other training can be bespoked by the school and charges agreed.

We welcome the opportunity to discuss and share all of our work, so please get in touch.

“My visit was a real eye opener to see all the great work the teachers and staff do to support the pupils. Thank you for the opportunity of seeing how great the Academy is and how it’s making a difference in our children’s day to day activities and overall wellbeing.”
