Beacon Hill Post 16 Unit is for students between the ages of 16 to 19 years with severe and complex learning difficulties.
The new purpose built Post 16 building is separate from the main school and consists of the following:
Instruction area / commons room –Two separate spaces that are connected by folding doors that can be opened to make one large space for whole unit activities
Kitchen / Life Skill area – independent living skills can be achieved in this specially designed space, with height adjustable worktops and cupboards
Sensory / physical room – includes space to work on physio programmes and sensory work for those students requiring an integrated sensory programme
I.C.T. suite equipped with adapted switch access
Adapted toilet and shower areas, including ceiling track, hoisting system
